Do you love making beautiful music with other people who love it too? Do you want to sing in a great choir during rich Orthodox services, surrounded by bishops, clergy, and faithful? Come to the St. Tikhon’s Choir Festival, co-hosted by the PaTRAM Institute!
This Memorial Day weekend, singers and choir directors are invited to gather at St. Tikhon’s Monastery—America’s oldest Orthodox monastery—and prepare to sing in the Divine Liturgy for the Monastery’s 115th Annual Memorial Day Pilgrimage.
Festival participants can take a masterclass in Conducting with esteemed Maestro Peter Jermihov; receive vocal instruction from the stellar Talia Maria Sheehan; join in rehearsals with the Monastery’s staff of musicians; witness the World Premiere of Benedict Sheehan’s Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, sung by the world-class Saint Tikhon Choir and members of the acclaimed PaTRAM Institute Singers; and enjoy making music alongside professional singers during Monday’s hierarchical Divine Liturgy, conducted by Maestros Jermihov and Sheehan and other guest conductors.
